summer-ness

It's summer y'all!
AND. . .
 -if I may say-
an exceptional summer it's been!
a respite from rain
a few lovely months
t-shirts and shorts
(tank tops and tattoos)

outside the city. . .
the Oregon Coast
a retreat:  the Columbia gorge
in the city
a plethora of p's!
pie
 painted toenails
 pools (and squirtguns)
parks

Portland. . .
OH!
you do summer right.

"It's about
FINDING THE INFORMATION and ACCESSING THE INFORMATION
It's about molding the herbs responsibly.
It's your turn."

eyes watching from every door

and show yourself baby

psych-decent

A nicotine-yellowed print hung behind the counter of J's bar, and when things got unbearably slow we'd stare at that picture for hours on end. The image was a pattern, something like a Rorschach test, in which I saw what seemed to be a face-off between two green monkeys tossing two half-deflated tennis balls through the air at each other.
"What do you suppose it symbolizes? I asked [J].
"The left monkey is you and the right one's me. I'm tossing you a bottle of beer and you're tossing me the money for it."

each one she passes

The human essence lies in complexity.
The objects of scientific investigation lie not in the object, you know,
but in the subject contained within the human body.
In any case, you must live.
Live! Live! Live!
That's all. The most important thing is to go on living.
That's all I can say. Really, that's all.
I'm just a girl with metaphysical soles.

-Haruki Murakami, Girl from Ipanema
